Privacy Notice
Information on how your personal data is processed by us as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).
Introduction
At KN Advanced Composites we attach the greatest importance to the security of your personal data. With this awareness, we consider it essential that all personal data belonging to every person connected with our Company is processed and retained in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). In full recognition of that responsibility, and in our capacity as "Data Controller" as defined under the KVKK, we process your personal data as explained below and within the limits prescribed by the legislation.
The terms used in this notice have the following meanings:
- Personal Data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person,
- Personal Data Protection Law ("KVKK"): Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, published in the Official Gazette and entered into force on 07.04.2016,
- Data Controller: the natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for establishing and managing the data recording system,
- Data Processor: the natural or legal person who processes personal data on behalf of the data controller, on the basis of the authority granted by the controller.
Data controller
Under the KVKK, the personal data you share with us in your capacity as counterparty, supplier, customer, employee, intern, visitor and similar, is handled by KN Advanced Materials Tekstil Girisim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. as data controller, within the scope set out below. Our Company is part of the Kipaş Group.

1. Collection and processing of personal data, and processing purposes
Your personal data may vary depending on your relationship with our Company. It may be collected verbally, in writing or electronically, by automated or non-automated means, through our Company units, our website, social media channels, mobile applications and similar. Your personal data may be created and updated for as long as your relationship with our Company continues.
The personal data collected is processed in accordance with the conditions and purposes for processing set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, for the purposes of carrying out the work required for you to benefit from our services, ensuring the legal and commercial security of our Company and of those in a business relationship with our Company, determining and implementing our Company's strategies, and carrying out our Company's human resources policies.
Specifically for this website, the name, company, e-mail address, telephone number and message content you submit through the contact form are processed solely to assess your enquiry and to respond to you.
Your personal data is processed in accordance with the following principles:
- Lawfully and fairly,
- Accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date,
- For specified, explicit and legitimate purposes,
- Relevant, limited and proportionate to the purposes for which they are processed,
- Retained only for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or required for the purpose of processing.
2. To whom and for what purpose personal data may be transferred
The personal data collected may be transferred to our business partners, our suppliers, Kipaş Group companies, legally authorised public institutions and private persons, within the framework of the conditions and purposes for processing set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, for the purposes of carrying out the work required for you to benefit from our services, ensuring the legal and commercial security of our Company and of those in a business relationship with our Company, determining and implementing our Company's commercial and business strategies, and carrying out our Company's human resources policies.
3. Method and legal basis of collection
Your personal data is obtained verbally, in writing or electronically, for the purposes stated above, so that our services can be provided and our Company can fulfil its contractual and statutory obligations completely and correctly. Personal data collected on this legal basis may also be processed and transferred for the purposes stated in sections (1) and (2) of this notice, within the scope of the conditions and purposes for processing set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK.
4. Rights of the data subject under Article 11 of the KVKK
As a data subject, if you submit your requests concerning your rights to our Company through the methods set out below, our Company will conclude the request free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, should the Personal Data Protection Board set a fee, the fee in the tariff determined by our Company will be charged. In this context, data subjects have the right to:
- Learn whether personal data is being processed,
- Request information if personal data has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose,
- Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom personal data is transferred,
- Request correction where personal data is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
- Request erasure or destruction of personal data within the conditions set out in Article 7 of the KVKK,
- Request that correction, erasure and destruction operations be notified to third parties to whom the data has been transferred,
- Object to a result adverse to the person arising from analysis of the processed data exclusively by automated systems,
- Claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing of personal data.
5. How to apply
Under Article 13(1) of the KVKK, you may submit your request concerning the rights above in writing or by the other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. The application channels and procedures are explained in detail on our Data Subject Request page.
Under Article 13(2) of the KVKK, requests submitted to us will be answered within thirty days from the date the request reaches us, depending on the nature of the request. Our responses will be delivered to you in writing or electronically, in accordance with Article 13 of the KVKK.
6. Retention periods
Personal data submitted through the website contact form is retained after your enquiry has been concluded for the limitation periods prescribed in the relevant legislation and for the periods set out in our Company's Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy; at the end of that period it is erased, destroyed or anonymised.
